Strawberry Jam
This is the hardest jam to make as it doesn’t set easily. However runny strawberry jam is yummy and can be used on ice cream, pancakes, cereal or toast. We don’t stress anymore and just enjoy it however it turns out!
Ingredients:
- 1.5 kg frozen strawberries
- 1.4 kg sugar
- 60 ml lemon juice (helps with setting)
- 1 tsp tartaric acid (helps with nice red colour)
Steps:

Sterilize Jars:
- Place six medium jars in oven at 100 degrees
- Place six lips in a bowl of boiled water.
- Boil jug and pour over lids so they are covered
- Bring fruit to the boil
- Add sugar, lemon juice and tartaric acid
- Boil aggressively for 15 mins then put into jars
- Fill jars with jam
